A note from BuildASoil
Over the last 13+ years, we've grown into a much better company — and a lot of that growth came directly from our critical reviews. Every 1, 2, or 3-star review on this page taught us something. New formulations, better packaging, improved shipping, clearer instructions, stronger customer support — almost all of it traces back to a customer who took the time to tell us what wasn't working.
If you haven't tried BuildASoil in a while — or you tried us early on and it didn't go great — we'd genuinely love another shot. We get better every year, and we have the receipts to prove it. See what's new at buildasoil.com →
The stuff they have at Camelot is a completely different animal. It is a lot better grade it’s more money but it’s worth it I’m still having a hard time with the stuff that I got from you guys my plants want to die. I’ve got one right now turning yellow. I think yours needs washed more and we did wash it again but I don’t wash the stuff from Camelot at all it’s already clean clean clean
Ours is Unbuffered! We only offer RAW where as most of the Coco Coir that comes on the market is charged with Chilean Nitrate or other fertilizer chemicals to help balance the coir. When using coir to mix soil, we take care of that using Organic products, but if using this coco straight up, you'll have to account for that. I Hope this helps!!! Thanks for the feedback for sure.

The Beauvaria Bassiana has worked to knock back the root aphids but not eliminate. I’ve applied drench in coco every three days for about ten days and there are still flyers in the garden.
Hey, I's reading the reviews, and did my learnin' abouts making a gooder soil fo's my veggie garden.
So I's bought this.
It do be comin' here fast, and not all's broken bad like somes packages. So, cool.
But whens I goes to use it, it be all funky massive chunks. I figgur 2# for my 6 yds of garden dirts I's needin'.
But I hads to spend a hours breakin' its down using rocks. Had no other ways - it not be breaking up in my hands.
So's I got in touch with the dudes here. Theys tried to help, but when I shows them a piccure of the chunks and how I's be disappointed, they's wanted me to buys more stuff from them, at a measly discount.
Ands they's be tellin' me, "We actually have to break it down more when it comes from our supplier."
Well, they's be doin' a piss poor job at it.
I doubts theys even posts this review after seein' it. Thoughs I nots be swearin' or anythin' else bads.
I asked thems nicely for, what I's think is fairs compensation.
But they's ignored me.
Here be a photo of the chunks, bain't.
You gonna put this inna you's container plants? Goods luck.
Never buyin' from these dudes again. Can't be trustin' them.
P.S. - Why's there be no other bad reviews on their's entire site?
First off, so sorry this didn't live up to your expectations. We will be updating the website with better photos and description. Terviva is a great company producing a really clean sustainable product but it is a chunky seed meal. For what it's worth, we use it chunky in our soil recipes and it does turn into a good final product. That being said, I totally understand your not wanting to use something so chunky. What can we do to make this right? I want you to be happy regardless.

Maybe I got a bad batch or old, but this stuff is very hard to sprout. I’ve never had issues germinating anything, let alone corn. I’ll keep trying but I think it was a bad batch.
I haven’t seen any benefits or turnaround in deficiencies with this product, foliar and soil drench. Mixed with the coconut powder and now my plants are stunted with a calcium deficiency and some other mobile nutrient.
Yikes! Might have been a to little too late. This product works very well but it's not always the answer. Right off hand I have a few suggestions, but without asking a whole bunch of questions I can't be sure. If you want some more guidance please create a ticket at support.buildasoil.com thanks!

This is the least effective product I have used on powdery mildew. It does not stop or defeat it at all. Even at the maximum recommended dosage and following aggressive ipm protocol this product is simply ineffective.
Thanks for the feedback, this is what we are after. We are finding that the Terpene content is so high it's not holding in NANO emulsion. That being said, we have been getting reports that using 6-12ml per gallon is proving effective. We do believe it works but we have to find the best dosage and stability. Can you try again at increased dosage and report back? Either way, let us know and we can make it right, support.buildasoil.com and create a support ticket.

Can someone tell me why this is better than yucca extract powder at over 3x the price? Please keep waisting your money thinking this is a magical ingredient that makes you a better grower. Cult level vibes for newb custies.
ThermX70 is 20% saponins and this product is cleaner and has over 60% saponins. We pay a premium and have difficulty getting enough at the quality level we demand. It’s so clean that you can use it for food and also for medication etc. which makes it killer for foliars. I still like the ThermX70 and if you choose to use that product it will do it’s job well. I tell everyone all the time, all you really need is good genetics, good environment, good soil and clean water. Thanks for your business and sorry this one didn’t work for you.

I like the extract but I used it in my dryed out farm farm ocean forest and it was hydrophobic as fuck and it has had to even light sprinkled soil drenches and it is still turning hydrophobic and I even have state mulch on top of my soil as well as a white dutch clover cover crop
Believe i may have over purchased on this. ordered a 6 inch to increase air flow circulation within a 4x8 tent indoor. temp going up to over 95 w humidity about 50. need to better manage situation on my end
Running lights on during cooler hours like at night may help. Dimming your lights to keep temps optimal will allow you to cycle the fan less often which will help with humidity. Otherwise you can easily add A/C and or Humidity etc. If you need help we are here!

They sprayer works great but the red paint will chip around the top and prevent the gasket from sealing. It’s too expensive for it to not be usable because of a paint chip.
Not sure if it’s my ducting system or the fact that I live in Arizona but my humidifier is struggling to get my tent to 40%RH while it’s supposedly set to 60%RH and the poor humidifier is running on max . Which is quite sad considering the price of this smart humidifier. I expected much more.
This is for small area and if exhausting the air from your tent it won't be able to keep up. You can modify your fan to take our out less often or consider upgrading to a commercial humidifier. Sorry it didn't work as expected

was very expensive for such a small bag i rather make my own next time
I worked in the Cannabis industry as an IPM technician. My supervisor ordered two of these to keep Foliar sprays and oil sprays separate from our DRAMM hydra. A month in of careful use about 5 times a week and these are already breaking down. It’s very clear from the beginning that these were never tested in the field. The suction hose inside the tank is too long and halfway through a tank, will float on top of the liquid and pull air through. I had to tie the hose like a pretzel to get the end to stay on the bottom and it still leaves about a gallon of fluid in the tank at the end that can’t be sucked through. The drain is leaking on one of the tanks even with Teflon tape applied. If you tighten the plastic cap too far, it will pop off the threads and you have to retighten and have to try and find the sweet spot, which it will still leak. Whoever designed the handle to the cart, is not bright. It’s an open triangle shape and when you are wrapping up why hose, it can get wrapped up in the handle which adds to the frustration if you work in tight spaces indoors like I do. The spray gun is junk. One of the guns doesn’t automatically shutoff when you release the handle and you have the push it forward every time yourself to shut off the spray. The other gun will actually stay spraying even when fully pushed forward in the off position and just randomly shuts off when it feels.
For what we paid for these sprayers you would expect a much better performance and not have to make modifications straight out of the box to get these to work as they should.
We also have a 50 gal DRAMM hydra which after using these is an absolute dream to use. The gro-kings have been an absolute nightmare and I complain to my supervisor every day that I have to use them. They regret the purchases and are basically using them because the money was already spent and we’ll use them until they break completely, which they are well on their way already.
I wouldn’t pay any amount of money on these for my personal gardening and especially not for a greenhouse operation. Heed the warning and use your well earned money to purchase a higher quality product that is actually going to last.

After watching Jeremy’s video about the mustard seed I am not sure if I want to use it do to it’s tendency to burn the plants. I’m not to well versed in gardening but have be following the “Build a Soil way” and it’s been working for me. However, I believe I will air in the side of caution and not use it until I’m able to better understand what effects it could have on my plants.
No probe to go inside tent. Not sure if that was mentioned in the description or not. If it was then that’s my fault for not checking. To use have to open tent to check readings.
