unbelivable amout of straw in the box more then i expected

It’s so hard to find organic straw where I live and many online sources are way too expensive! This is a great price and great product! I added it to my garden and it’s just what I needed. I will definitely be ordering again.

Wanna keep some extra moisture in your fabric pots. Maybe even create a better home for the microbiology at or just below your soil surface. I’m happy to finally invest in this product. Also got the rice hulls! Love this company. I’ve been purchasing their compost, worm castings, and other nutrients like craft blend for over 2 years. I love doing business with this team. I’ve had some great success with their products and feel I’ve made the right decision when it comes to restoring soil or understanding plant needs.

Definitely creates an environment that keeps the soil moist and prevents excessive evaporation!

I cannot find organic straw locally, I depend on BAS. I use this straw in combination with the BAS rice hulls. This combination reduces pests ( especially fungus gnats) and maintains proper protection. I grow outdoors in FL and a good mulch layer is important for both food and medicine.

To be honest I prefer the mushroom straw log but it was out of stock. This straw is cut a lot shorter and is dry so it's messy. However it does its job as a mulch layer. As a plus it is more cost effective and you get a lot in a box.

This has become a repeat order for me, it a very nice clean mulch. Thank you for the great products!

Used this product many times always good but I with it was chopped a bit more for smaller containers. Great for beds.

I Love how it looks but more importantly I Love what it’s doing, and blended with the clover cover crop it literally tops it all off ands makes every picture complete & organically beautiful. Try it once and you won’t grow without it guaranteed

Good price and they loaded it up. I did end up using post oak wood chips sold as meat smoking fuel as my mulch.

Was having an issue with dry topsoil. Found myself misting multiple times a day. This straw mulch has made all the difference. Topsoil is healthy and stays that way.

I used to use the big brick of straw from a chain hardware store but it always seemed to cause more issues. It was labeled organic and weed-free, but I would have nothing but problems. I found BAS a few years back and learned how those labels are misleading and basically untrue. I remade some new soil and started over. I tried the mushroom straw and it was such a drastic change. Now that I have had several successful grows I only need this stuff as new mulch. It's great. No weird red fungus or random ragweeds popping up. Just clean mulch.

i've used build a soil faithfully and have not been disapointed

We've been looking for straw for our edible garden beds that doesn't come in a huge messy bale and that is organic and in smaller pieces. This is it and it comes from barley which is a cleaner crop. We ordered the large box, which is quite lite, so we were able to easily move it throughout the garden to topdress our newly amended beds with it. It was super easy and looks beautiful and golden. We already sowed some seeds in some of the beds, so this straw will still provide light and protection from cold and wind for these seeds to germinate. I already recommended this straw to about 4 people. We're ordering more soon! Thanks BuildASoil!

Used both the regular straw and the inoculated straw both are excellent choices for mulch

Love this straw... I wet it with some Aloe water when applying mulch layer.
