I’ve been using these rice hulls in my homemade no till living soil for a few years now and it works great, just like all th products I’ve purchased from BaS. Freakin love BaS!

Ai recommended 1-2” of rice hull mulch for gnat defense lol. Looks nice and drys off quick. Having that top layer dry and prickly seems like a good deterrent.

These can be used as mulch. In the off season it seems the micos enjoy dining on them.

This is a standard part of my soil recipe high quality rice hulls give great aeration help introduce silica into the mix and helps with structure as well.

It's a pretty decent price and I definitely trust buying it from bas. Add a nice look and feel to your soil. Seems like it'd be good for mulch as well.

This is no exception. I've ordered from other reputable sources and there's always some issue, like mold or still soggy. Not from BAS. You get what you pay for. That's priceless!

Great to aerate the soil and feed it when it breaks down. Have never had an issue with this brand of rice hulls and am afraid to risk using any other brand! I do wish it had free shipping too though :-(

Wanted to replace perlite and at the same time provide an organic component. High quality, par-boiled rice hulls. These are great for aeration and when they break down the matter provides organic silica !! The plants love it ....

Rice hulls from Build a Soil should be used by every gardener in America! It’s a fabulous mulch made from what was once thought garbage. Build a Soil has a perfectly clean product and fast, efficient delivery. My 50 pound bag mulched my fall garden and was a great addition to my homemade planters. You simply must have this!

Rice Hulls are a great addition as a soil aerator instead of or me personally I use it with Bio-Char, perlite, vermiculite, and warm castings. Highly recommend this product!
