Not much to complain about, just a bit too pricey.

I’m liking it so far. Only time will tell.

If you buy more than a few bags. WEAR A RESPIRATOR!!!!!!!! I did not. I am a man, I can do manly things, or so i thought..
I ended up getting pneumonia, after hauling about 400 gallons or so. Breathing in all the dried fertilizer and compost particulates.
Dont be like me, be smarter than me
Soil is great. Been using it since 2019. I use this combination for most of my gardening needs, and my garden LOVES IT!!!
Invest in your soil, not in the end product

I highly recommend this product

My first try at growing. Used your soil exclusively. I didn't use any additives. Planted 4 plants in 2.5 gal. grow bags. Then tried a combination inside /outside grow cycle. (Put 'em out in the morning. Brought 'em in at nite as long as the sun was shining. No sun, no outside. Went on screened in covered porch. Two plants worked pretty well but only attained 2.5 - 3 feet. I had hoped for more height and bushyness. The two that failed got bugs and rot from outside. First try, not too bad. Bought an indoor grow kit with light, fans and tent and we're going again. I don't believe any of the shortcomings described are related to your dirt. After all I just bought some more. I'll let you know how round two goes. Jim

Curious how long you can run this till you need to feed. I typically do a 30 day veg and then flip to flower. Will this last through veg and several weeks into flower?

I used the 3.0 soil as a filler to my raise bed living soil and it blended very well. My homemade living soil is obvisiously much more rich with a delicious strong smell, but the amount of peat in the 3.0 and pumice made it a great filler along with the added newts. Thanks BuildASoil for all the great products over the years!

I've tried 3 out of the 4 main soils and I have to say the 3.0 was the best in my opinion. For anyone starting to learn the organic or no till style, this is the best introduction. It can be overwhelming with so many top dress options, teas and Kashi blends, but this keeps it attainable with a water only approach. I would highly recommend the 3.0. I still top dressed using the 3.0, so those who are well versed in the no till game can maximize their return as well, beautiful stuff.

Seems like nice soil. Haven't grown in it yet, but I used build a flower this round and plants loved it. I think they'll like this soil mix too

this soil is hands down literally the best. this is what you want. stop shopping right now and get this.
the delivery company they contract through are the biggest bunch of retards ive ever had to deal with. i scheduled 3 seperate delivery times, confirmed, and then they dont show up. when they finally do, 2 bags are busted open on the pallet, and they have no forklift, and make ME unload it 1 by 1 from the truck. from the street. dude wont even go up the driveway. i call them to ask to make it right, a discount, hell, SOMETHING. they say we dont do refunds, ask buildasoil. uh, yeah. no. buildasoil is not at fault. please guys, get another logistic company. these guys are complete garbo.
Yikes! Freight can be such a pain. I'll have the crew look into this and see which Freight company was responsible. Thanks for the feedback

This stuff has some kick. The light recipe is my go to for no-till, but this stuff will yield better on the first round than the light recipe, I just sometimes run into issues round 2 if I don’t get a soil test, which doesn’t usually happen with the light recipe. Still, there’s for sure a place for this stuff in my garden.

I love this stuff. Makes it very easy to get going.
But around flower time I noticed I needed a bit more nitrogen because I let my plant grow to big.

I love the fact that the soil is filled with everything needed to start growing organic. My plants are so happy from the start. I would over given 5 starts but the shipping is crazy high. It would be great if you could get it in stores to save money. I understand your goal to keep the products cheaper then other organic soils. I ordered 19 bags to fill my 4x8 bed but had to add 3 more bags of soil king, 1 bag of regular happy frog a 3 cubic bag of frog soil conditioner to get the soil higher and I still need to add more. I'll do that next season. Thank you for having a great product

Very happy with this blend.
Would be 5 stars if not for 1 issue.
When starting from seed, seedlings seem to have trouble breaking through the soil surface when planted at regular 1/4-1/2" depth when compared to other mediums.

not bad, had some large chunks of horse manure that had to be broken up by hand, and the drainage isn't ideal but its pretty good. if you can i would recommend a Malibu compost base

The soil I last purchased I used for planting asparagus seed from last year's crop. Because it takes at least three weeks for the seed to germinate, I am just now seeing some spears emerge from the 2x2 cubes in which the seed was planted. I had some concern about the small "rocks" in the soil, so we'll see if that proves to be a negative. I have 60 cubes planted indoors, and I'm anxious to find out the germination rate of the seeds and the plants' viability before they're transplanted around the first of May. Perhaps by then I'll have a 5-star opinion!

I love this company! I started my cover crops in their 3.0 soil and I added growstones. So far everything is thriving. The soils smells and feels really healthy, you know your plants are going to be happy!😁❤️🤘🏻

NO Perlite! Breaks down.. Turns to concert in pot. :( 👎 The mix of soil is awesome otherwise! 👍
