Still seeing occasional gnats. Been using 3-4 weeks now. More time should do the trick. I was going broke buying sticky traps, and they were building sand castles with the mustard seed meal, lol. I am going to start pre treating any compost and worm castings with this stuff before intoducing it into the garden. They came from either the Seacost or Oly Mountain. I had top dressed with a mix of the two, so I don't know who the culprit is.

I was expecting instructions to come with this and I looking on the Internet. There's a couple of different ways that they say to use it so an official kind of pita paper would be awesome.

Instructions are on the product page. 🌱 Directions For Potting Soil: 📝 This is a highly effective process that takes up to 14 days (Be Diligent) 🔎 Light Infestation: Use 1.8 Grams per gallon of water. (1 Teaspoon) (1/2 lb bag will make more than 126 Gallons) 🚨 Heavy Infestation: Use 7.5 Grams per gallon of water. (1 Tablespoon) (1/2 lb bag will make more than 30 Gallons of liquid super concentrate) 🔄 In full-blown infestations, apply at least 3 times per week for 1 week, then once per week until eradication. Afterwards, reduce to the lowest level or discontinue use. 📉 Recommended: 🌼 After the cycle, don't forget to re-inoculate with a balanced microbial product like Rootwise Mycrobe Complete for soil health. 🌺

Works great 👍....however it is very expensive especially when you only get 8 ounces and for an infestation you use 7.5 grams per gallon, water in 5 gallons at a time, it just doesn't go very far

I was dealing with an explosion of fungus, following the directions, using a heavy dose on the first round and then regular usage going forward it really not the pop down to almost nonexistent. I would have no problem recommending this to somebody dealing with fungus nuts.

So I gave it 4 stars and haven't used mine yet. However, my buddy isn't a BAS guy, he grows with an organic water soluble nutrient and has had a few dozen great grows I've seen from him with it. He used it with his soil and his plants yellowed and didn't like it. He said his EC went out of wack which I don't ever check since I use BAS in a bed. Anyways I'll use it with my setup and update this with my own results, as stated in the headline I am a little scared to use it and I'm waiting to see others use it in the BAS FB group haha. He said it also didn't irradiate the gnat issue, but he uses regular fabric pots and says the gnats seem to be going into the sides of the bags. Idk, but I think I'd be wrong to not at least bring it up and I know how Jeremy is with BAS, his heart is in the right place and only wants to offer the best. I owe all my incredible success to BAS!! The video series on YT and their top notch soil and nutrients! So even with the news I've just shared I still put 4 stars, Buildasoil overall is a full 5 star business no questions asked!! They're #1

First off, thanks for the genuine review and concerns! It's so important that questions like this are answered, this may help others as well. 1. He used it with his soil and his plants yellowed and didn't like it. This product cannot cause yellowing, but watering heavy can! Rest assured if you use this product as intended nothing will cause nutrient issues other than the moisture level. Essentially, it's microbes and Kaolin clay. 2. EC isn't something that is straight forward in organics, measuring the electrical conductivity is a way of measuring the soluble salts but this is kaolin clay. Best not to check EC with organics but many will still check if using organic nutrient line to set a base level. Adding Kaolin clay to organic nutrient could alter the EC reading. Ideally, use this as a stand alone spray. 3. Anyways I'll use it with my setup and update this with my own results, as stated in the headline I am a little scared to use it and I'm waiting to see others use it in the BAS FB group haha I get it!! Check the reviews on the product page, others are starting to have great success using the product. 4. He said it also didn't irradiate the gnat issue, but he uses regular fabric pots and says the gnats seem to be going into the sides of the bags. Yes!!! Technique is everything. You Must spray the tray under the fabric pots or gnats can proliferate in the moist dark areas that are not right on top of your pot. Once all areas are treated and the process is kept up with, it truly breaks the cycle. With gnats in organics, it may be needed from time to time as this isn't a poison. But I promise it works and I'm hoping sharing this confident will help you apply it properly and think smarter about where they could be developing. Also spraying down the sides of the pots or packing with more soil and then spraying down the sides can help this issue. Thanks again, you are correct, I want this feedback, it's very very helpful. I hope my answers have helped you too. If you need anything at all, just reach out.
