Kind of have to get used to the smell, but it kinda starts to grow on you a bit after awhile haha anyway i feed it to my worms and they love it

I have been growing weed for personal use in Colorado using a homemade living soilless media. I have devised my recipe for over 20 years and have always battled bad things in my roots. Mostly fungus gnats and white flies. Bugs that have part of their life cycle in the root mass. My last few rounds I have added several waterings of neem cake based tea early in the cycle. I have noticed once it is established in the root ball I have very little of any bug activity in the root zone. I highly recommend this product.

I bought the Neem Cake to get rid of my gnat infestation, and I have been surprised by this product. They are mostly gone. It smells a bit funky, but goes away within a day. Will purchase again.

I blend this up to a powder with small chunks so I can blend it and it gets broken down a bit longer, and if I don’t blend them up it’s like a little nest hub for microbes it’s crazy!

Great stuff for mixing in your soil

I was concerned that there would be an unpleasant odor... It was quite the opposite. It smells like beef broth to me : ) I purchased it to help with the gnats that sometimes invade your plants. This was my first experience with neem cake. The neem cake was purchased as a soil amendment to be used as part of my IPM. I added some to the food for my worm bin and have noticed an explosion in the population of worms, both in speed and volume. Weather this was from the neem cake or not I can't say but I've had the bin for years and never seen anything like this before. Neem cake will be a staple additive to my worm bin and soil from mow on.

Great product have really noticed a diffrence in my plants plus bugs don't really like it so it's a plus in my garden.

Neem Cake - Ahimsa works well on those nats and within a day were cut in half or better. won't get rid of all but this is the most effective I have found. definitely worth it! ships fast too!

This neem is good smelling compared to a lot of others and protects plants super good.

I was going crazy having these little buggers in my plants in my kitchen and bathroom. I finally googled and found out what they were and watched a few videos. The video by Colorado Garden described the positive results from using Neem Cake. While I waited for my order of Neem Cake to arrive, I tried watering and spraying with a solution of hydrogen peroxide, 1 to 4 parts water. This method did seem to make for fewer gnats, but it was when I sprinkled the Neem Cake on the plant soil and watered with Neem Cake water (made by adding a small amount, 1 or 2 T., of the Neem to a gallon of water) the gnats have disappeared. It did take a few days, but it is working. I plan on watering with Neem Cake water at least once more time and wait and see. For now I am convinced that Neem Cake WORKS! The downside of Neem Cake is that it does have a funky odor, much like coffee grounds, but that is airing out.

I bought Neem Cake for gnat control in my house plants. I followed a recommendation from youtube which suggested to sprinkle some on top of the soil, and also to dissolve some in water as a drench. I had tried many other ways (organic as well as non-organic) before without real results, and I was not too hopeful regarding this one, but I can honestly say that within two days the gnats completely stopped. Sofar they have not returned. Very happy with results!

This will be my first experience using neem cake. I hope with the neem cake, frass and crab shell meal I'll be able to eliminate or at least keep under control a root knot nematoad problem I've had for a couple of years. At the moment I don't see any signs of infection but I won't know for sure until I pull the plants and examine the roots for damage. The product arrived very fast along with a few other things I ordered at the same time.

I stumbled upon Build a Soil searching for better ways to amend the soil around our home. As with most home purchases the gardens are either neglected or treated with chemicals that really damage living soil. I am glad I found Build a Soil, there are so many good, healthy soil amendments they sell. I have started with Neem Cake and am using it when setting out my vegetables this year.
