Without a doubt Karanja meal (neé cake) is one of my favorite soil amendments going back over 10 years. The karanja tree (pomgamia) is a legume meaning that it's more closely related to alfalfa than the neem tree.
I think of karanja meal as alfalfa meal on steroids.

Smells amazing, fantastic food for the soil. Comes in clumps that can either be powdered/crushed and topdressed or transplant with karanja cake underneath with great results. Fantastic stuff from Terviva!
