Biochar feels almost like cheating. It's got good drainage, aeration, moisture retention, nutrient holding, microbe fostering, properties, and more. It's really good. The only downside is that it needs to be charged first or else it will hurt your plants, but this product does that for you.

You do not need a ton of this if you are growing at home 2 to 5% of your soil total amount helps to harbor microbes and retain moisture, they go the extra mile to change it so it's not a sink on your nutrients, thank you for using Beatle wood to help in the cycling of waste.

I put the biochar down on my above brown garden covered up with organic straw leaves. Small sticks will be settling down. All winter for next spring garden. Should be good thank you build a soil for what you do LOYAL TO THE SOIL.

Take this watered with EM-1 and your microbes will flourish

High quality product at a very reasonable price

I purchased this item to build some soil this spring. I have the tools and material to make bio-char this summer. But in the mean time purchasing this will not slow down my progress when I mix together mostly locally sourced items. Thank you for the education and for being their to pick up a few items as I learn more about soil. I will do my best to keep you informed on how my soil mix works out.

Added Bio char this round to increase the soil health. Found small pieces of charred material that should breakdown during the growing cycle.

Great Bio-Char and even a better company to buy it from....Build-A-Soil rocks 🤘 My 1 cu. ft. of Bio-Char arrived but the consistency was like dust which looked nothing like the item picture they have posted on their website and I looked at other people's reviews who posted pictures and theirs was also chunky, definitely not like mine that looks like dust so, I contacted Build-A-Soil customer service and they requested some more pictures which I have provided and they confirmed that it is the right product but they are not sure why I received it like that, literally dust and they went ahead and sent me a replacement free of charge. I offered to send the item back and I was willing to pay for shipping but they did not ask me for any money nor asked me to return the dust package which was very nice of them and very professional. If you have never purchased from this company before, then I highly recommend giving them a try because their customer service is outstanding and they have the highest quality organic nutrients for your organic setup! I grow medical cannabis and their nutrients are the best in the country!

So far I am happy with all my build a soil products.I used the bio char to supercharge charge build a soil pumice for my soil.So far my plants are growing nice and healthy since I started using the build a soil products.Highly recommend their products you will not be disappointed.

Scattered it into my garden beds and mixed it into the dirt we are using to start a new lawn. I'm sure it will help.

biochar seems great and a nice size. Precharged is well worth it even just for the lack of dust.

Great product! I've used it indoors, outdoors, added to compost and bokashi brans. Overall an excellent texture for many different uses.

First time using, I usually make my own, seems good but pretty expensive.

Consistently 1/4" and mostly smaller sized, but not mostly micronized. Nice crush feel and easy to wash from skin. Wet in appearance and to touch. Smartly charged with premium, trustworthy inputs. This is the best Biochar we have outsourced from the half dozen or so we have tried. Considered by us equal in quality and trust to Char-Grow. The consistency of product makes this biochar easy to work with, good for drainage, and ideal for promoting long term biome growth. Cool beans.

Don't grow with out it. I add it to all my soil mixes.

Could it possibly be better ? Will use to expand to 12 fabric pots with all the deals I have I'm stocked up for at least 2 more cycles.... did the herm flowers result from lite stress or possibly genetic because the seeds were from a herm flower? Or neither ?

Another product from BAS that is of great quality. I like the fact that there were small, medium and larger chunks in it. Biochar from other companies I've purchased from in the past came in very small chunks and powder. This is why I buy 99% of my inputs from BAS, they never disappoint and their customer service is second to none. If there ever is a problem (very rare) they always make it right.

This product amazing as well was able to use making my own top feed and currently my plants are thriving in flower with the mixture I made using the Bio-Char
