As I stated in the title. I did buy this on an overstock sale from this site, so I suppose I shouldn’t be shocked. Performing well as a low sodium kelp substitute

Arrived in perfect condition. Intend to use as a replacement to K sulfate and kelp on my fruit trees with alternate applications.

This is a (non-living) fresh water, cultured single cell algae with a hormonal package that is supposed to substitute for kelp hormones, stimulating growth, cell division, and JAR response. Additionally the dead cells are supposed to perform cell-to-cell transfer of nutrients that come with and potentially those added to Universal upon application. I used this product as a supplement while growing in a soil with no kelp or sources of hormones. It seemed to break apical dominance of my lateral shoots during late veg / early flower, and encourage bud stacking and swelling during late flower. Not a bad source of K, which might help with the shoot initiation. This product might be good for hydroponics but I noticed it might have caused my compost tea to foam up a few days after I dumped some excess into it, so perhaps watch out.
