Bag arrived intact and I got a Bonus handful of loose seed in the box. I sprouted some in H2O and planted some good germination.

Corn and barley I find to be two of the most important seed sprouts for my teas for plants. Ive been able to run full cycles with just corn and barley in the past. B.A.S. germ rate is top notch and I know its sourced and tested well to make sure no unwanted things enter my garden

Love my barley sprouted seed teas!

I would like to preface this by saying I have zero experience with using this ever before. Organic gardening is my new hobby and using this with my current living soil in conjunction with rehydrated kelp had given me visible results within 48 hours!

Barley is my favorite seed when it comes to making a SST. The plants love it and the leftovers are added to the compost bin. Can't go wrong here.

I use these barley seeds in combination with my blue corn seeds for a Veg tea. The seeds are clean and vigorous and sprout easily after a soak. Another good quality product from Build A Soil.

I ordered this barley seed last year so maybe the quality has gone up since then but what I received last year was full of, what I believe to be, weevil carcasses. They didn't seem to cause any problems but it's something that shouldn't happen so I took off two stars for the stress of having them in my order. Three stars because the product did the job as described.

these seeds could not have come quicker! They were so fresh and clean I loved making my SST with them! Definitely recommend adding a little rehydrated kelp in with the water that you initially soak the seeds in because it significantly helps with their sprouting time!!! Thanks BAS

These are excellent quality hulled barley seeds, which means the seed is completely encased in an adhering hull of insoluble fiber, perfect for SST if you are using their Seed Sprouter. I've been using the strained tea as a drench on my orange trees. I'm seeing tremendous success from this, their topdress kit, and their sprouted blue corn.

I really like the response I have seen from using this SST with 1 Tablespoon BAS aloe powder and 1 Tablespoon BAS coconut powder per 5 gallon bucket. I have had good results using this with seedlings and late flower especially. Barley is inexpensive and full of the enzymes needed by plants to sustain life. This is an excellent tool for organic gardeners that want to stay away from bottled nutrients and it allows us to save money, and increase the availability, potency and quality vs bottled enzyme products.
