I have two niwas and they both work great! They have pretty much automated my system ( I still hand water). Without the niwa , Zachary and all the BuildASoil crew my grow wouldn't be half as good as it is. Thank you all for being so awesome and having products you can stand behind, you've made my first grow amazing. Life long customer here!

Was having alot of trouble regulating my environment until I got the Niwa. now it stays i the perfect temp/humidity and has the good ebb and flow like nature. Will continue to support this company and stay Loyal to the Soil!

best investment to have full control over your environment. saw a marked difference in my plants as soon as I got it setup

The Niwa GrowHub+ was an enormous improvement over not having automated environmental control. That being said, there's room to get better. My system takes a few tries to switch from 'auto' mode to 'manual' or vice versa (which may be because it doesn't play nicely with 5G wifi. Also, the outlets only work for limited options in limited configurations. It would be better, too, if the settings on the app were 'remembered' so i don't have to remove VPD, CO2, and DewPoint from the graph every time I want to see the chart in usable detail. Luckily my needs are basic...so I kinda love it even if this review seems to the contrary. Also, I was ready to pay the $199 list price on the website, but I think it only cost $129 once it was in my cart. So, great value for the price.

I like the product but there costumer service is very bad for a year my Niwa has shut off at random or stayed on past it’s scheduled time. When reaching out they have told me I didn’t set it up right when it has ran fine the way I set it up for 3 or more months. Not build a soils fault just think people should know you may have a few problems

The NIWA Grow hub has been an invaluable tool for me to help me monitor things remotely, automate my equipment and give me peace of mind! I wish the Co2 sensor would have been available when I purchased so I could have gotten that too. Customer service is also top notch, I dealt with Zack and he was 100% spot on for everything I needed and took care of everything I needed and more.. I highly recommend this product!

At first I was like yeah what ever(old school mentality)now I can't stop telling people and showing them how you can keep an eye on your grow. Would be cool to have an update to control fan speed,other than that I really enjoy the peace of mind knowing I can take a look anytime.

The Niwa runs a tight ship. Just since I've been using it the platform has evolved. Fans kick on to dehudify and lower grow room temps... if you don't already have a dehumidifier or ac set to the NIWA. I like checking in while I'm away.

This is the best $210 I've ever spent on my grows.

The recipe was a bit difficult to get saved but wow is this an amazing tool for the indoor grower. I wish I had purchased the Niwa grow hub earlier.

Well thought out but has a few limitations. To my knowledge: 1. You can’t use 2 outlets to plug in the same type of device. Meaning, you can’t have 2 lights running on outlets 1 and 2 because the app will not let you make more than one outlet control “lights”. You can assign “lights” to any outlet port you want but you only get one. This goes for any parameter. You can’t have any doubles. 2. The power load is small in the consumer version. Something to check into. They sell a version or add-on that can handle more load. 3. No sunrise/sunset/dimming functions. This box is a strictly off/on situation for all outlets. 4. Found their VPD numbers to be off from the charts I’ve used BUT the temp and humidity readings showed that I’ve been in range even when their vpd numbers were different from what I’m used to seeing. So, the Niwa is essentially a well built 4 outlet on/off box with a solid sensor and very useful and user friendly app to accompany it. Definitely a great buy for a one light grow. And wil most def teach you some things about your grow no matter your level. Happy growing.

Know what your getting before buying, would be the perfect product but three main downsides, must have a 2.4g Chanel on WiFi network and cannot use more than 15A in total for all four outlets I think is pretty stupid considering how much it limits the ability to control many products some bas promotes. Please be aware and also you can’t only use one type of device per grow hub, example you can’t use two fans on one strip. If they manage to fix these issues it would be the most flawless device to use with absolute ease

It’s amazing way to track and control your grow room! Easy to set up and easy to use. Highly recommend to everyone who’s busy and can easily monitor/control your grow through the app.

It really help you get data on what is going on in the grow room to automates everything in it which is nice . Little hard to get it started an i think it should have some more plugs in it but love it.

A simple note on your site, on the package, and before purchasing...: DOES NOT WORK ON 5G NETWORK. Could've saved me and I'm sure many others the aggravation , time, money blah, blah... I totally expect you to read and respond to this... Like every other

I installed the NIWA a month ago. I love it so far. A few notes: - You need a 2.4 ghz wifi signal to run this product. I logged into my verizon wifi router settings webpage and turned on a dedicated network just for this device. - If the grow hub won't connect, save a "blank" outlet configuration and try again. This was critical for me. - When my unit arrived, the software did not activate my exhaust fan to control humidity. My exhaust was operating based on temperature alone. I emailed Niwa at 9pm on a Sunday night. I had a response by 8am the next morning! They told me that fan/humidity control was included in the next firmware update. They updated my unit remotely, and the problem was solved in less than 10 minutes. Now my exhaust kicks on when heat OR humidity is too high. This is super important for me. I was having problems with humidity spikes when the lights turn off. My Niwa is doing an excellent job at controlling my environment in an efficient way. Overall, this unit is functioning as expected and greatly improving my garden.

This is the perfect product if you have a grow tent and want both automation and VPD accuracy! The setup is super easy and intuitive, I needed help with a firmware update which the folks at Niwa fixed for me in 12 hours after I emailed them. (They emailed me back in an hour and within a half day had me running!) I have been growing for about 12 years with spotty success. Now that I’ve dialed in VPD and can have the system manage everything for me, my grow has been spot ON and totally in my control. Can’t say enough good about NIWA… rarely do I have a solid review on something from start to finish! Thanks BAS for offering this product and NIWA for hitting a home run!

If you have to be away from your grow, this thing will keep you from going crazy.

This upped my game big time! The owner of the company is very helpful and has reached out to me multiple time to make sure everything is running well. There are improvements needed but the developer promises a new firmware with new features. Very good overall!

My NIWA works perfect once I got it out of the box and set up, I love the instant data, but the best part is the customer service. My NIWA started blinking red one day, and I couldn't get it to connect to my WiFI even with the troubleshooting. It was late night and they still emailed me back and the FOUNDER of the company even reached out.

Perfect....works perfect work my life style

Connected to WiFi in minutes and was up and running. Now my environment is dialed in and I can check it from anywhere. Very detailed and easy to use app, sensors are accurate. Customer service from Niwa is best-in-class and they listen seriously to user requests and update accordingly. The only problem is now I keep picking up my phone to check VPD all day!

So far I really like the product. Some had said it was hard to setup. I had it up and running in my grow in under an hour. Easy to use UI. I’ve only scratched the surface on what this device can do.

The Niwa is a really cool tool but the software on iOS is a very buggy experience. It needs some fixes and updates for me to trust it without checking it daily

I think this is a great tool for smaller to medium size gardens.

Does a lot for the price tag. Really is helping me monitor and keep my VPD in check. Using for light schedule and power only for fan currently as my humidifier wont kick back on after the plug turns on and off. Setup to network was easy but getting the schedule correct took some time. Excited for the updates that may be coming.

Didnt like the interface and found it to feel outdated, seeing as most grow room equipment I have has sensors built in the niwas sensor didnt add much other than another reading, id really only use it to control lighting

Hello Growmies, I have had the Niwa controlling my grow environment in my 4x4 tent for almost a month now. The Niwa is controlling the light, exhaust fan and humidifier (currently in veg). Super impressed with how stable the grow environment has been, keeping things dialed in for optimal VPD. Make sure you set your leaf surface temperature offset to really get the VPD on target. Initially I didn't think much of the data logging ability of the Niwa, but being able to see that data over time helps you make informed decisions when adjusting your set up. The initial set up connecting the unit to the wifi was a bit of a struggle, but be patient, follow the instructions, and keep trying. Customer support via email and the Niwa community page has been great.

Haven't hooked it up yet but I know it will be great. I also got the titan to help with electrical issues.

This is one of the best pieces of equipment I have! Being able to look at my phone at a glance, and see how my plants are doing is priceless!

I had issues connection my niwa to the wifi but customer service help me out after couple of emails. Now I have my lights and fan connected. I set up my time and the climate range and that's it. I don't have to worry about temps and humidity.

I have humidifiers with humidistats and dehumidifiers with the same features. I attempted to automate while having no clue. This thing is awesome. Custom set recipes for automatic humidifier/dehumidifier, AC/Heat, Light timers etc. Also has an integrated stat page in the app so I can see just how steady I am keeping the environment. This is a game changer for me. May convince the wife I need another for my smaller tent.

Great product plus Niwa support was quick to help when I had an issue binding my first unit. They seem like a great company and even ask customers for input on app improvements. I'm excited to get the next update with push notifications plus a timer feature for fan control. Currently I don't use the hub for fan control as I want it on 24/7, however, it would be nice to set a second fan to cool the led drivers during the light cycle.

Product works as advertised!! Only problem is it can't connect to a 5g router.

Provides insane control plus increased piece of mind while away. Can't praise this product enough! Hope they continue to improve the app/capabilities. Well worth the cost! Some things that could improve: 1) add manual control/over-ride individual devices 2) better updates (refresh for data is slow and often takes several tries to get stats) 3) connectivity (I have 50+ smart devices but had to tweak my router settings/could not bind at first) 4) push notifications if temp/humid/light drops out of spec Every product has room to improve, this is an awesome start! Can't wait to see what Niwa makes next!

Once it gets working good it’s nice

Great product over all. Definitely love that I can see and control everything through my phone. Just wish I could change the icons for the growth life cycle and it could user more outlets. I would still recommend. Makes growing a little bit easier.
