I have a couple of the smaller 5" stakes and they have improved my watering 200%, can't wait to try these deeper ones out in my beds!!!!! Just ordered a 2 pot autopot XXL system for one of my 3×3's too. Thank you for everything you do Jeremy! Going on my 4th year growing and since finding your videos last year, much needed wisdom has been gained here. Much love from AZ!

When Jeremy first introduced me to the Ecowitt WH51 sensors that measure 7 in of soil, I was amazed at how accurate and useful these sensors really are in comparison with everything else I have tried including Blumat $90 sensor that only gives you moisture but doesn't have any app nor any capability to send alerts or access via Bluetooth Wi-Fi like these Ecowitt devices have. So, I started using them on everything I have growing so I bought 12 of these sensors and I have to buy two Wi-Fi gateways because you can only add 8 moisture sensors to one Wi-Fi gateway which is not a big deal at all, but my question was how do I get better readings with larger containers 15 gallons or bigger and my question was answered shortly after when I got an email from Ecowitt that they are in process of making a new WH51L device with 1 Meter/1 Yard long wire attached to the sensor so it could be used in much larger/deeper containers and obviously it was a little more expensive than the previous WH51 units and they will be available in a couple of months. Finally couple of months went by and I bought 4 of these new WH51L devices and I was blown away at how accurate they are and how easy it is to use them and how convenient they really are because both WH51 and WH51L models have capabilities of connecting to Wi-Fi and have access to the sensors information from anywhere in the world as long as you have access to the internet, you can also set up different alerts such as when the battery gets to a certain level to alert you that it's time to replace the battery, alert you when soil moisture gets to a certain percentage whichever you indicate, alert you when the room where you have your Wi-Fi gateway plugged in which comes with a temperature and humidity sensor will let you know when that room reaches a specific temperature and humidity, and you will be receiving these alerts through the app and by email in case you won't open the app to view the alert, you will receive an email. I found that to be very very useful because I don't open the app that often and if something gets out of range I would like to know about it without having to open the app just to get that alert so having that alert delivered the email is extremely useful and helpful. I did get a chance to purchase two of these units while they were still in production and I bought another two when they were available for everyone so I have used the first to sensors for about 4 months now and I am ecstatic. I have been recommending these to everyone I know who grows in 15 gallons containers or larger. It works on a single AA battery that will last for 1 year. The two sensors I bought over 4 months ago they still have the same battery which was at 1.6 volt when I first inserted it into the unit and 4+ months later the battery now reads 1.5v. I have it set up to alert me when the battery goes down to 0.3v so if it continues to discharge at 0.1 v every 4 months then I should get at least 3 years out of it but we'll see 🤔😁
I've added a screenshot of the battery remaining voltage for reference. As you can probably tell how excited I am this product helped me dial in my watering habits so now I don't have to wonder whether or not I'm watering them a little too soon. If you haven't tried neither models then you are in for a treat because when you try them you will never want to grow anything else without these sensors. Happy growing 🪴🗣️💨
