The complete soil building kit - Coot was amazing The soil I created from it smelled so fresh and fragrant and it looked amazing. My grow started out fine and then I had a nap infestation. So things didn't come out exactly the way I wanted but now I'm looking for an entire kit that I can automate and start again. One that I don't have to open the door for more than once a week or two weeks.

It looks amazing,have not had a chance to start yet but am excited.I’ve been a grower since 1982.I have been running the True living organic system with really good results but when I stumbled upon your stystem and the amount of support that you offer I knew that I had found what i have been looking for ,a more scientific approach.I’m going to run them side by side and compare I will let you know how it turns out.

We've had 75 days over 100 degrees in South Central Texas and the peppers I planted in this soil have thrived beyond other plants I have in good soil.

Mixed in with peat and local compost last year. Live in the city Soni have a container garden and my garden is thriving second year. Haven't had to fertilize really. Would recommend for building new potting soil. I went to source all the dry amendments but this is all you need and a fraction of buying all the ingredients separate.

I have made several batches of the Coots mix. Whatever I grow , Cannabis, Vegetables or my fruit trees, I have healthy, productive results. Just works!

this has been my second year using the soil. excellent results with little to no reamending this year.

So I just mixed my first true batch of soil a few days ago and I can't wait to see how it does. So used some local cinders and lava rock, the buildasoil mineral and nutrient kit, my own worm castings, and some local leaf debris that has breaking down since the last fire decades upon decades ago. I'm excited.

This build a soil system is the real real deal.

I wanted to buy enough 3.0 to fill a few planters but the shipping made the soil cost prohibitive for me and there are not any vendors in my area so I could not take that path either. This kit changes that for me though, and while not BAS 3.0, it is not Miracle Grow and I know what my soil contain, which is nice. There are so many "organic" soils to buy from the BB stores that I would not trust, it's nice to have an alternative that I can trust. I will update this review once I complete my current run using this mix. THANKS BAS!

I had an amazing grow with lots of microbial life but unfortunately all of my ratios of NPK tested extremely low for the 6 Cubic feet kit. Thus, I had a vey low and poor yield. Great for vegging and cloning though because of the high potential for microbial life. Flavor was okay but nothing amazing.

Mixed it up and planted right into it, plants are looking great!

This is a complete and simple kit to use, just followed directions and my plants are looking happy. BAS does all the calculations, which helped a lot.

Only issue was hauling 600 gallons 1/4 mile up hill through the woods. Totally worth it.

I Received my kit in relatively good time. Two days ago I finally got around to building my ‘Coot Approved’ soil, and it was such an wholesome experience! I felt like I was back in my roots…doing what I love. I would’ve purchased add’l products, but in some instances the shipping cost was 3x the cost of the product itself. Unfortunately, I wont be able to use my soil anytime soon. I was expecting my seeds this wk, but was just notified by the carrier that the seed-bank used, that my pkg. was redirected due to error in shipping address. I wish I knew before purchasing, that my seeds would be coming from Spain (didn’t find out until after I receive tracking #). Anyways, to end on a great note. I just found your channel about 3wks ago, and have binge watching your videos since. Keep putting out awesome vids!

Excellent soil! I have previously purchased to take and bake kits, this is an awesome way to get a high quality soil without having to purchase things that I don’t actually need to have shipped. Great way to save a couple hundred dollars!

B.A.S is straight 🔥 for grower’s and plant’s. Jeremy also teaches people about B.A.S soil’s, how to use them, everything in them and anything a grower could possibly want to know about all aspects of growing plant’s. I got this kit in the mail after I seen Jeremy do this in season 3 on YouTube and then seen his results and knew I had to take this route myself. It was a process and I took my time mixing over a few days time and then let set for a week under a tarp. I was able to get some good pics of mycelium. I then used the majority of the soil in my 3x3 where I planted cover crop and let set another week before planting into. So far so good and I must say I’ve never had more confidence in my soil knowing I built it myself. I’ve been growing for 3 years and with this grow I feel more excited than my first. Thank you Jeremy and the Build a Soil Team!

So far my second time using this mix for soil making. Take the guess work out of making your own amendment mix. I do like to add a few things but nothing crazy

Finally set up a 4x4 bed with a Coot's recipe living soil and the only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. Growth has been outstanding, overall plant health is top notch, couldn't be more pleased. Pics are appx. 3 weeks after setting up the bed, plants are 3 days into flower and killing it.

I think this is the perfect kit to make soil. Works on everything. Great inputs. Couldn't be happier.

I used this mix in 5 gal containers with 5% added biochar and it crushed. My wife stole some for her house plants and they're also crushing.

Bought the coots mix and my plants are absolutely loving it and thriving!

Didn’t end up building my own soil with this but used successfully with Cowoco to top dress and re-amend my no till 15-20g fabric pots. Thanks again BAS for another great offering

I’m not able to make the review yet as it takes a month before you can use the soil, but I am able to say that it was easy to mix and it gave good instructions and told me everything I needed to get to add to the mix

I purchased the coot approved complete soil building mix for the 14 cu ft recipe. It came with one bag of nutrients and one bag of minerals. I decided to save some money buy purchasing the bulk of my soil materials locally, but went with coot approved recipe for the nutrients and minerals. This was my first time mixing a large amount of soil, so wanted to get it right. Down the road I plan on buying the ingredients in bulk individually for reamending the soil.

This is my second time ordering this mix. I have fully switched to growing both my medical plants and vegetables/fruit/flowers in Coot's mix. Always extremely healthy plants.

I am a vegetable & flower gardener. I have been attempting to do a living soil method indoors. I grow indoors year round since I can control the environment. However, I have been frustrated by the poor choices of amendments on amazon and big box stores for years. Once I found the BAS youtube channel doing searches for living soil, I was literally blown away at the amount of Free knowledge Jeremy passed on. While I don't grow cannabis, yet, still not legal in my state, I decided to replicate in large part the BAS way/methodology for my veggies. I have never had my seedlings take off so quickly after transplanting from seed starter mix. I am shocked at the difference. I can't wait to harvest my peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, basil, parsley, mint, etc. I can't wait to transplant my flowers and lime tree cuttings (yes you can clone a tree :) ) when spring finally comes.

This is hands down the best soil building mix available. I use this all the time when mixing a new batch of organic soil. I have had one successful crop after another using this product and I love it!!!

Shipping soil can get expensive, this kit gets you a proven soil recipe with quality ingredients without having to pay a ton for shipping. i plan to run this next to some BAS light to see how they compare.
